In this renewing song + sound + word magic circle guided by international songwomben Gina René & Saritah, we will journey through intentional voicework and introspective wordplay into our individual and collective feminine essences and power.
Our time together will include a blend of: breathing techniques, vocal toning, harmonies, Freestyle + improvisation and exploring the TRUE power of words in an open mic meets + sacred sister circle kind of cypher. Let’s Cultivate our Feminine Medicine Sound Power!
Attendees are encouraged to bring their open minds and beautiful, willing, playful hearts to this nourishing, nonjudge-mental celebratory space. Bring a notebook, pen and Water or a hydrating drink (lukewarm for the vocal chords). Bonus: those who desire May bring an original poem, rap, chant or song that shares a story of growth in their feminine power, or voice. We will have time to feature only a few sisters, yet are delighted to hear your voices.
Gina René, also known as The Urban Space Goddess is an Internationally celebrated Artist, singer-Songwriter/(F)emcee/Lyrisista, and Women’s Empowerment Facilitator most celebrated for her unique melodic Vocal stylings & word play as well as her inborn ability to weave a common thread between her own life experience and that of the collective feminine. Gina’s name means Queen Reborn which she views as a living call to practice being an authentic, courageous and empowered woman on the daily within the many colorful areas of Life. Gina delivers an uplifting message of inspiration, Divine Feminine resonance and shares with ease how to tap into your creative potential that’s always available no matter what we’re feeling or Growing through. Being surrounded by strong musical family roots based out of the early Los Angeles R&B/Soul music scene made for a fertile environment for her unique, future artistry to bloom. Music runs in her family. Her Grandpa, Leon Rene, wrote the hit song Rockin Robin, as well as Sleepy time Down South which became Louis Armstrong’s theme song. Some past works include being lead singer/co-songwriter of SF based electro-lounge band Soulstice, co-written songs with her brother Gabriel René such as “ U Must Be” and “Meangurl” featured in Major Motion Picture “Meangirls”, a 2012 chart topping favorite “ Young Homie” she co-wrote with her younger brother Chris René (Xfactor USA 2011)
Gina’s own journey of finding and nurturing her own voice has led her to the remembering and cultivating of our natural feminine power or what she calls “Feminine Medicine’ within each of our own bodies. This place of deep and extensive experience allows her to offer a unique variety of handcrafted women’s circles, gatherings, workshops, songs, raps and experiences centered in the sacredness of our feminine nature as a power source for discovering and activating our Voices and Power as beings and women.
